Die ersten Vorrunden finden diesmal ausnahmsweise erst im September 2008 statt.

Bis Ende Juli kann man sich für die Next Season anmelden. 

15.000,- Euro in Cash und weitere Sachpreise im Wert von über 70.000,- Euro für die besten Live-Bands Mitteleuropas. Es gibt keine Anmeldegebühr. Es gibt weder eine Altersbegrenzung, noch regionale oder stilistische Einschränkungen. Im Mittelpunkt des Bewerbes stehen die Live-Präsenz und die Eigenständigkeit der Bands, die sich unter professionellen Bedingungen und in bester Festivalatmosphäre präsentieren können und so Kontakte zu anderen Bands, Branchenprofis und neuen Fans knüpfen können

 The running order for the final will be fixed trough an email voting system. All you have to do - (to ensure that your favourite band plays at the best time ) - is to send an email with the line "my vote for BANDNAME" in the subject field to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Each email ( but only once each email adress ) will be counted for the band and the band with the most votes will play last on the 1st May and the band with the least votes will play in the opening slot.

You can vote for your band from today ( 2nd April 2008 ) until to 25th April of 2008.

TO THE FINALS !!

This year’s season of the International Live Award flies like an arrow. Eight high class Quarterfinals are already over, two more to come on the seventeenth and eighteenth of February at the Planet Music in Vienna. Then it’s time to take off the gloves for the last thirty Bands – they have to approve their abilities at the Easter-Weekend in front of Jury and Audience to battle for the ten slots in this year’s final.

Nachdem wir die Vorrunden nun erfolgreich hinter uns gebracht haben, wird es an den nächsten beiden Wochenenden für die "Lucky Looser" der Vorrunden nochmals spannend.

The Qualification rounds for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland of the ILA feat. ABC 08 lie behind us, the first quarterfinalists are certain - and a new team is caring with body and soul that everything works fine and smoothly...
 

August 2008: The sun shines, Austria sweats and also in the Planet Music it`s getting hot!
On this weekend already the first 24 bands from Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland could prove themself in the first three qualification rounds of the International Live Award feat. Austrian Band Contest - and brought the Planet Music to cooking!
 

Professional showcase possibilities at home and abroad, various offers and chances for young musicians, cultural exchange and prizes of more than 100.000,- Euro for the best music groups of Central Europe.

Young austrian musicians between 16 and 25 can apply to the annual soundbase-musicCamp till 27th of July! 60 newcomer talents and 10 international professional musicians work together on songs, sounds and beats in the great summer session week from 20th to 25th of August. This chance of musical experience only exists once a year! If you wanna join, you have to be quick. The places are much in demand! // www.soundbase.at.   

That´s gonna be a festival! No word against the several great festivals in the austrian countryside, but THE BIG THING happens in Vienna on the danube island, 22nd to 24th of June 2007, FREE ENTRY, 5 kilometres with over 30 stages, two of the most favoured in the north of the "Flordisdorfer Brücke": the Radio FM4-Planet Music-Insel and the Planet Rock & Fun Stage.

ROOGA, THE MOTHERFUNKERS and WEIRD, three finalists of the INTERNATIONAL LIVE AWARD feat. AUSTRIAN BAND CONTEST 2007, are playing live too.

The AUSTRIAN BAND CONTEST 2007 powered by Volkshochschule assigned the INTERNATIONAL LIVE AWARD! Congratulations to the finalists and a big thankyou to our  precious sponsors, partners, jury members and colleagues!
Never before the final show provided that much interest. More than 50 jury members from music- and mediabranche, journalist requests and big editorial feedback prove the growing importance of this event series. At best festival atmosphere the 10 bands faced up to the valuation of jury and audience.

The three Semifinal Nights over Easter Weekend at Planet Music were very successful. The top ten bands from over 1.000 Applications from 5 Nations qualified for the big final, which will be on the 1st May. This Open Air Festival in Viennas Prater starts at 12:30 and is free of charge. Besides international headliner concerts from THE REAL McKENZIES & GODS OF BLITZ the INTERNATIONAL LIVE AWARD featuring AUSTRIAN BAND CONTEST powered by Volkshochschule will award the finalists with prizes worth around 100.000,- Euro. 2007-04-08 // One day earlier, on the same stage as the big final of the INTERNATIONAL LIVE AWARD feat. AUSTRIAN BAND CONTEST, the „Open Air Gegen Rassismus“ takes place in the Viennese Prater for the 3rd time. 9 Indie & Hip-Hop music groups playing for the good cause. Top-Acts like KANTE, NICO SUAVE, JONAS GOLDBAUM, WIPE OUT and many more could have been won for the event. The organization ZARA (http://www.zara.or.at/) will be represented with an information stand and the two FM4 radio moderators Dave Dempsey and Joe Bailey are granting the best input. Enjoy!

2007-03-28 // UTV independent TV assigns the treasured UTV MUSIKVIDEO AWARD again in 2007 as they did the last two years. All applicants will be published on www.utv.at. The best ten will be nominated through an interactive voting and then presented in the final on Saturday the 21st April in Viennas Ost-Klub. A representative jury with members of FM4, the gap and other professionals will decide who wins Gold, Silver and Bronze of 2007s UTV-Musikvideoaward. //  www.utv.at
